I needed to renew my driver permit and in order to do so I needed to book my driving test, which I have been putting off for some time... I rang up and managed to get a cancellation date for my test. This didn't leave me much time and I was feeling a little panicked. I contacted the RSA Driving School at the last minute and they kindly managed to fit me in even working around my work hours. The Tuesday evening before my test I met up with my instructor Kev Horan, He went through a huge amount in the time we had and quickly pointed out my faults ie: clutching when not needed, not doing M.S.S ( mirrors, signal, shoulder) and many more. Within two lessons, one evening lesson and one the morning before my test Kev managed to correct all my faults and I felt much more confident doing my test. Without a doubt I have Kev Horan to Thank for passing my test as I would have not passed without his help. I would highly recommend this instructor to anyone as he is an excellent teacher and knows exactly what the tester is looking for in a full licenced driver.

I had a few lessons with Gary before my driving test in Finglas. He was a great instructor and really calmed my nerves. The airbag light turned on in my car the night before the test (panic central!) and Gary sorted out another diesel car for me to do the test in without any fuss. I had a few lessons with other instructors previously and they told me some ridiculous rules that were completely inaccurate (look in the mirror every 5 seconds, dry steering is a fail, etc). Gary used to be a tester himself so he really knows what he's talking about. I passed with zero marks on my test sheet (the tester told me to frame it!) I'd definitely recommend the RSA driving school.
The Parody of Pass Rates
Unlike other driving schools, we’re not going to try and blinker you with pass rates. Any driving school that claims to have a 98% passrate or similar is quite frankly lying and could not prove it. Why lie? Simple really. When your reputation is unknown or in question and you need to get new students in the door, manipulating stats is often the only option you have. The reality is that at least 10% of students fail the test due to unforeseen circumstances or technical issues with vehicles. By this statistic alone you can see that only a 90% pass rate would be achievable on average and we can assure you this is seldom the case. Tread carefully when choosing your driving school and you see claims such as these.

Today I passed my driving test all thanks to Dermot! ! :) Dermot was such a big help to me before my driving test today and I couldn't have got a better instructor! Thank you so much! I am so thrilled to have got Dermot as ive had a bad experience with previous instructors. I had failed my test back in October so this time around I was nervous. Dermot corrected me and showed me how to pass! Dermot really knows what he is talking about and knows exactly what to help with in order to pass the exam!
