I've just passed my test, wahey! I came back from Canada for Christmas and was faced with having to do the test without having practiced on Irish roads for over a year. I rang Cornel 4 days before the test and he was immediately really helpful. He managed to fit in 2 lessons in the days running up to it and met me an hour before the test to do a final complete pre-test run through which got me settled and confident before the exam. I was shown exactly what would be expected of me and given great pointers on my current driving practices. I highly recommend taking lessons with RSA Driving School. It's straightforward, informative and Cornel is good craic too!
The Parody of Pass Rates
Unlike other driving schools, we’re not going to try and blinker you with pass rates. Any driving school that claims to have a 98% passrate or similar is quite frankly lying and could not prove it. Why lie? Because their real reputation is poor and out of a desperation and want to get their hands on your hard earned euros, they try to manipulate you with fake stats. Here is the thing. Because of unforeseen circumstances or technical issues with vehicle a minimum of 10% of students fail the test on average. As I’m sure you can appreciate that means at best only 90% pass rate is achievable and even that is pushing the envelope of possibility. Tread carefully when choosing your driving school and you see claims such as these.

I was a bag of nerves and had little confidence in my driving ability but my instructor Colman helped me overcome all of that. He was extremely helpful from the start of the lesson to the end. He taught me exactly what was expected of me when doing my test. He was a lovely person and answered all my questions no matter how stupid I thought they were. I struggled with my nerves the most and he helped me calm myself and gave me the positive boost I needed throughout each lesson. I did a lesson with him right before doing my test and I think that essentially made me pass because again I was extremely nervous the whole day and it gave me the confidence. My boyfriend had Colman as well and like me passed our driving tests after taking lessons with him. I highly recommend this school and instructor.
